Chocolate-coated pears

Pears are a delicious dessert, but if you coat them with chocolate, it becomes a work-of-appetite. Grab one before they disappear!

Rucola Pizza

Pizza, well, there is no need to explain pizza... It is a delicious base (called crust) that you can cover with the ingredients that you like the most (called toppings). There are so many combinations, the most famous even have names: quattro formaggi, Margherita, quattro stagioni...

We found out that making your own home-made crust is very easy. You just need the flour, yeast and a few more ingredients and you get it done. We prepared our pizza and it was delicious! This time we tasted a wonderful rucola pizza.

Płock

Płock (pronounced: [pwotsk]) is a city in the Masovian province. It is located along the river Wisła. It was founded like a fortified location from where many ships could navigate. From up on the hills you can enjoy beautiful views of the river. Down in the river, it has a river promenade, like a large dock, where you can enjoy a walk besides the river.

We enjoyed visiting the city. We could visit the historic old town, the cathedral, enjoy the views from the hills. It was a day to remember!

Fried eggs in tomato sauce

Tomato is one of my favorite foods. It came to Europe from Central/South America. I don''t know how Europeans could survive before them. It is base of many dishes, sauces, drinks, salads and more.

This time we prepared fried eggs on top of fried sliced tomatoes and pepper. It was a perfect match of flavors. Delicious!

Warsaw Zoo

The Warsaw Zoo is located alongside the river. It was first opened to the public in 1928. It is one of the most visited in Europe. In 2007, a book about the zoo during the World War II was published under the title "The Zookeeper's Wife". In 2017, a movie based on the book was released.

We visited the zoo. It was not very crowded that day, so we could visit it very calmly. We had chance to see many animals. And I saw polar bears! Misiulares! They were playing and looked very happy. I also saw: elephants, lions, giraffes, flamingos, seals, zebras, tigers, snakes, turtles, monkeys, so many animals! It was very exciting.

Cinnamon and Apple Cake

When life gives you apples… sometimes is a good idea to mix them with cinnamon.

We made this cake with apple and cinnamon. We enjoyed very much preparing it, but I have to admit that I enjoyed much more eating it! It was delicious!

Neon Museum (I)

The Neon Museum is dedicated to the documentation and the preservation of Cold War era neon signs. There is a permanent collection of hundreds of neon signs. Many of them are from Warsaw but you can find many of other regions of Poland. There is a large diversity of signs, from hotels, shops to cinemas, trains stations signs, etc.

We had a free day on Monday and this museum is usually opened on Mondays, so we decided to go. It was a quite nice excursion. I could enjoy all the beautiful signs and lights!
